| (12/16/07) - Fastrax Blue completes first two training camp at Paraclete XP SkyVenture |
Fastrax Blue completed their second training camp at the Paraclete XP Skyventure, North Carolina. The team was in the tunnel with coach Thomas Hughes for 4 days and flew approximately 6 hours. The team recently completed a two on two camp at Paraclete XP with Thomas Hughes and Pete Allum as the coaches. The team flew approximately 6 hours in 3 days Fastrax Blue has committed to spending more time in the Paraclete XP tunnel this year. After completing the 2 on 2 to regain confidence in the blocks and to relearn old or even new techniques, the team will be returning during the speed phase of their training. The Team will be conducting most of their training with their personal rigs on. They have slip covers and other measures to protect handles and pins. The benefits of wearing rigs in the tunnel are tremendous. Fastrax Red discovered that in 2007 after conducting numerous tunnel trips to Bedford wearing their personal rigs. A good analogy would be to think of an olympic swimmer, if they trained with fins on to go faster (like NOT wearing rig) then competed without fins. While in North Carolina, Fastrax Blue also took the time to look at some exits that they will be facing out of the Porter this up coming year. |
